Report: Cowboys RB Jones, WR Austin expected to ... - Fantasy Sports

Cowboys RB Felix Jones and WR Miles Austin suffered injuries in the team's 27-24 overtime win over the 49ers and could miss some time.

According to ESPN's Chris Mortensen, Jones separated his shoulder. He had nine carries for 25 yards on Sunday. Austin pulled his hamstring and might be out through the team's bye week in Week Five, Mortensen reported.

Austin will get checked on Monday. He had nine catches for 143 yards and three touchdowns in the win.

The way we see it

Losing Jones and Austin will present major problems for an already banged up Cowboys offense. Jones and Austin are the team's top two skill players and WR Dez Bryant missed Week Two with a quad injury. Tony Romo suffered a fractured rib, but came back to bring the team to victory.

At running back, look for Tashard Choice and DeMarco Murray to get more touches with Jones out, and some of the team's younger wideouts will need to step up in Austin's absence.
